The Flutter Sleeve Expansion adds a gathered flutter sleeve to any tank top pattern. Designed to pair seamlessly with our Ginkgo Pinafore, this expansion includes all the pattern pieces needed to transform your pinafore into a sleeved version while maintaining its signature adjustable fit.

Please note: this pattern is accompanied by a video tutorial (see below), and not a full instruction booklet.

Adding the flutter sleeve will require 1/4 yds/mtrs of woven fabric

Ideal fabrics:
- linen

Also works well with:
- light to mid-weight wovens including:
— cotton
— tencel
— viscose
— linen/cotton blends
— linen/viscose blends

Tips:
- Match the sleeve fabric to your tank top/Ginkgo Pinafore for a seamless look.
- Medium-weight fabrics create a more sculptural flutter sleeve, while lighter fabrics create a softer drape.

Required sewing level:
- Beginner. New sewists will learn new techniques.

Skills you will learn from the video tutorial:
- gathering
- attaching flutter sleeves
- finishing armholes neatly

Tools you will need:
- sewing machine
- iron

Fit notes:
- Designed for the Ginkgo Pinafore, but can fit any tank top.
- Use the same size as your Ginkgo Pinafore for the intended fit.
- Compatible with all Ginkgo neckline and wrap options.
