The Delft Dress is a playful dress defined by its signature scalloped skirt tiers. With a rounded square neckline, puff sleeves, curved waistband, and plenty of ease, Delft is designed for movement, comfort, and twirling.

Ideal fabrics:

- linen

Also works well with:
- lightweight wovens including:
— lightweight woven cotton
— Indian block print cotton
— lightweight chambray
— light to mid-weight denim
— cotton lawn
— light to mid-weight linen blends
— silk

Tips:
- Crisp fabrics highlight the scalloped tiers and create a fuller silhouette.
- Fabrics with more drape create a softer, more fluid shape. If there is too much drape in your fabric it can alter the shape and fit of this pattern.
- Silk, rayon, and viscose will be slightly more challenging to sew.

Required sewing level:
- Confident Beginner. New sewists will learn new techniques.

- Designed with generous ease through the waist and hips.
- The curved waistband provides shaping while maintaining a comfortable fit.
- The skirt falls just below the knee and can be adjusted using the included alteration guide.

This is a lovely pattern, and the tutorial on youtube as well as the written one are super instructive. I also ADORE that it is available as a projector pattern also! Having to print a4 and "building" the pattern on paper first has always been a further obstacle to a project completion... but the projector option lets you a) save paper and b) speed things up!

Beautiful pattern, very well thought out. Instructions are clear and understandable even for beginners. Sizes are exact, the measurements for the finished garment is really helpful and I recommend to size down when in doubt. Downside: The dress is a nightmare to iron (I used cotton Damask). But worth it.

Having to print a4 and "building" the pattern on paper first has always been a further obstacle to a project completion... but the projector option lets you a) save paper and b) speed things up!
